Here are my initial thoughts on the new Crimson Amulet collection from NYX inspired by the movie Dark Shadows starring one of my fave actors, Johny Depp.
I especially love the blushes and the highlight. They’re the main reason why I got this set in the first place. The matte red blush is extremely pigmented! All the blushes are very blendable and buildable.
The eyeshadows are not bad but I wish they were more pigmented especially the neutrals and mattes from the bottom 12 group. My favorite shades are the golden bronzy orange shade from the top group and the basic shimmery white from the bottom group.
The lip glosses look pretty but they do not show up true to color on my very pigmented lips. I needed to pile on layers on top of layers to make the hot pink one show up on me. They do go on smooth and are not very sticky but I just don’t like the fact that they are in the same compartment as other powder products.
